Today another Hen & Stag giant has ceased trading, making that two that we know of in the last month alone.
Both companies had no financial protection leaving groups £1000's out of pocket.
This highlights the importance of booking with a company who is operating correctly with financial protection - those without avoid at all costs.
Here's what you need to know;
In accordance with the 1992 package travel regulations ALL tour operators must be financially protected for the UK and abroad.
Those who state "you just have to take out your own travel insurance", "only those who do abroad need protection" or "we've never had any issues with peoples money" are acting illegally, all tour operators MUST be protected.
Many providers are not protected so its important to bare this in mind when receiving a cheaper quote. It's not worth the risk.
It's important you always ask the question before booking.
What our financial protection covers;
At no extra cost to you, and in accordance with "The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018" all passengers booking with Hangover Weekends Ltd are fully protected from the initial deposit, and subsequently the full balance of your package with Protected Trust Services.
In essence all of your payments are held in a Trust account with PTS until you have returned from your Stag/Hen Weekend. Hangover Weekends don't receive a penny of your payments until we have completed your booking. This means that should anything happen to us in the lead up to your event, PTS have your monies in trust to refund!
