When it comes to hen weekends, you can expect to come out of it with a headache. Let’s face it, if you don’t, then you haven’t had enough fun! That being said, hangovers suck, so let’s look at how you can prevent them or cure them if you’re past that point already.
After a weekend of hen party laughs, you’ll be feeling like beating those morning blues and kick-starting your body for the day ahead. Yes, you might feel like your eyeballs have melted but we can promise you there’s light at the end of the tunnel… Hen weekends are savage!
Here are our top tips for curing a hen weekend hangover.
Before you head out for a weekend of carnage, stock up on multivitamins and also be sure to take a tablet as soon as you wake up the next morning.
Hangovers are caused by dehydration and lack of Vitamins A, B and C, so it’s essential to put those back into your body after a heavy night out. It may take a while to have the full effect, but your body will thank you later.
This is an obvious one but sometimes it’s overlooked. Tackle the painful dehydration caused by hen weekends and drink a pint of water every hour of the day to wash those horrible toxins away - until next time!
Stop by the shop and stock up on some Berocca to mix with your water and have a glass the night before and the morning after to make sure you get those much-needed vitamins and minerals.
Drink some water, take some vitamins and continue enjoying some beauty sleep! Let’s face it, if you’re asleep you won’t be able to relive all the cringy moments from the night before.
Sometimes only a short term fix for hangovers, a cup of coffee can provide a quick pick-me-up when you need it the most. But, it’s important to do everything else we’ve suggested or you’ll still be feeling pretty groggy!
We’re coming back to vitamins here because they are so important. Not only do hen weekends strip you of your pride, they also strip the goodness from your body and soul. We’re not really selling hen weekends are we? We promise they’re fun!
Boost your energy levels and rid the toxins with a large, chilled glass of fruit juice or if you can be bothered to, make a healthy smoothie and head back under the duvet.
After a gin-soaked evening, sometimes the last thing you want to see or hear about is food but it really is one of the best cures.
Choosing greasy food means lots of calories and lots of calories means energy that you’re bound to need after a wild night. Meat and eggs are good for clearing out the nasties, so order a tasty fry up and get it down you!
If all else fails, get comfy in bed, stick your favourite trash TV show on, grab lots of junk food and wallow in nothing other than self pity.
Memories from the night before are probably still blurry and maybe it’s best to keep it that way, so forget about it and just relax.
