When it comes to hen weekends, you obviously want to have the best time ever. With that in mind, it’s important to be able to remember what you actually did. So, that means you need to survive your hen party!
Hen weekends are renowned for being rowdy and rebellious, but it is possible to have a memorable party without taking things too far. Besides, if you actually want to make it down the aisle then it’s best to prepare yourself for what debauchery your friends have planned!
At Hangover Weekends, we’ve put together a handy checklist to set you on the right path to survive your hen weekend with plenty of class and decorum.
Follow these simple steps and hopefully you’ll survive to tell the tale!
If the girls have kept every little detail a secret, then you might be feeling unsure what to pack and what to bring. To be on the safe side, without packing your entire wardrobe, take appropriate clothes for all situations including nights out, walking and cold weather.
Preparing for anything is also preparing for the inevitable, so make sure you pack the essentials when you are hit with the hangover from hell. Stock up on paracetamol, ibuprofen, berocca and whatever else you need to get you back on track.
As the bride to be, all eyes will be on you and the drinks will be coming in thick and fast. But remember that you don’t have to accept every drink bought for you and sometimes it’s best to listen to your sensible side and slow it down on your alcohol intake.
Don’t forget that the whole point of hen weekends is to have fun, so don’t be too sensible!
Your hen party is going to be fun-filled with a busy itinerary, so it’s likely you won’t be getting much rest during the crucial time whenyou should be partying.
Make sure you take things easy during the days leading up to your hen do. Try to get plenty of rest to give yourself lots of energy to enjoy the top hen weekend activities your friends have arranged for you.
As well as drinking alcohol, remember to drink plenty of other liquids. Consuming lots of alcohol over the weekend will probably leave you feeling dehydrated, so it’s important to rehydrate and keep yourself feeling fresh.
It’s also a good idea to line your stomach with some good food before you set off for a night of drinking and debauchery. If you ask us, the following morning when you have a stinking hangover calls for a greasy fry-up!
This one really depends on who has organised your hen do and how much thought they’ve put into it. If they know you really well, they might have thought to put together some handy goodie bags that double as an essential survival kit.
Some great things to include are: painkillers, plasters, bottles of water, snacks and some foldable flat shoes.
