We have to admit that Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful places in the UK to have a Hen Weekend, with the Castle, Royal Mile, Princes Street Gardens and Arthurs seat to name a few, you aren't short or scenic hot spots to enjoy. Along with some fantastic venues and activities on offer, there should be something to keep even the pickiest of hens entertained. We would advise avoiding the month of August due to Edinburgh fringe festival and also check where the Scotland home games fall for the Six Nations. For some inspiration check out the more popular activities below:
The layout of Edinburgh makes it ideal for a long pub crawl, most bars and clubs are in close proximity so no need to worry about those killer heels ruining your feet.
The eclectic mix with old and new makes this stunning hybrid an ideal choice for any hen weekend, throw a vast assortment of clubs and bars into the mix and this chic picturesque city is a winner.
Edinburgh Hen Night hot spots;
Tigerlily - An opulent stylish cocktail bar located on George Street. Bursting with colour and eye catching interiors this bar is a firm favourite with young crowds. With hand crafted cocktails made from an arsenal of spirits and fresh fruits there's something to satisfy every taste palette.
Bourbon Bar & Club - Located in the heart of Edinburgh Bourbon offers two independent club rooms offering up some of the best music from every genre until the early hours of 3am.
Edinburgh is doused in history and the sights and medieval streets are best explored via foot for some real Scottish Culture.

The top priority on our to-do list is figuring out how to reach Edinburgh. Fortunately, Edinburgh is exceptionally well-connected within the United Kingdom. The city boasts the iconic Waverley station situated at its core. This station intersects Princes Street Gardens and is overlooked by the Old Town, making it an unmistakable landmark in the city. Regardless of whether you're coming from London, the Midlands, or the North, your first choice should be traveling to Edinburgh by train. Most of our accommodation options are conveniently located within a 15-minute walk from the train station. For those journeying from Ireland, you'll typically find affordable flights, and once you land, you can easily hop on a train to reach Waverley in approximately 30 minutes.

When in Edinburgh, our go-to spot is always Tigerlilly. This well-established gem consistently delivers a fantastic experience. The moment you step into their luxurious surroundings, you instantly feel at home. Whether you're there for a lively Boozy Brunch or a sumptuous 3-course evening meal, it's not just about style; the food is equally delectable. Without a doubt, this is a must-visit venue for your Hen Weekend.
Among the other gems nestled in Edinburgh's New Town that you shouldn't miss is Rabble. With its "Classy Yet Casual" approach, it offers the perfect setting for all your Instagram-worthy snapshots, whether you're enjoying a late breakfast, sipping evening cocktails, or grabbing a bite before hitting the town for some fun. As the night sets in, we recommend Coco Boho for late-night drinks in their cozy "rough luxe" atmosphere. Mega clubs are a thing of the past, and the spotlight now shines on these intimate cocktail bars that provide entertainment, music, and dancing until the wee hours.
Edinburgh stands out as one of the UK's most distinct locations in terms of seasonal variations. Accommodation rates in the city can fluctuate dramatically throughout the year, with increases of up to 200% from one month to the next. With a constant stream of events, such as the Edinburgh Festival, the 6 Nations, the marathon, the Highland Show, and the Tattoo, there's almost always something happening. For those seeking the best value for their money, we recommend traveling between January and April or from September to November, as this is when you'll find the most reasonable accommodation rates.
Alternatively, if you have a more generous budget, Edinburgh offers a range of remarkable places to stay. From The Righ Residences, providing the epitome of luxury stays, to the newly developed Roomzzz ApartHotel at the St James Quarter, which conveniently houses all your shopping and dining needs.
For all the Hen Parties looking to explore Edinburgh's abundant pubs and bars, you can't go wrong with Stay Central in the Old Town. Its proximity to the Three Sisters bar places you right at the doorstep of one of Edinburgh's liveliest nightlife venues.
