If you're in the process of planning the Hen Party for 2024, our initial recommendation is to carefully consider your choice of accommodation. If you're eyeing our spacious party apartments, such as the exquisite Luxury Townhouse with a Hot Tub or Casa Jungle with a private underground bar, cinema, and a hot tub room, it's essential to act swiftly. Large property bookings for January to June 2024 are already at 90% capacity, leaving very limited availability. If you're inclined to book a large property, we suggest the following: if you plan to fill a property at its full capacity, accommodating, for example, 18 people in an 18-sleeper Apartment, it's highly likely that 4 to 6 guests may need to sleep on sofa beds. It's important to communicate this information to your group before booking to manage expectations. To ensure everyone's comfort during the stay, we recommend booking slightly below full occupancy.
The second aspect to consider is the pricing. If your group size decreases after reserving a large property, the remaining guests will face higher costs. Therefore, it's crucial to have a clear idea of the number of attendees before making the booking.
However, if you're leaning more towards a hotel, Manchester offers a variety of wonderful options. You can explore modern choices like Yotel or Moxy on Deansgate, or indulge in the luxury of Double Tree Hilton or Indigo. Opting for a hotel provides greater flexibility. Your quote is typically based on a minimum of 10 people attending, so you can book for the maximum expected guests without worrying about last-minute dropouts affecting the group. In our experience, there are often a few guests on the outskirts of the group who may not make it. Additionally, hotels offer the advantage of accommodating 2 to 3 guests per room, en-suite facilities, and the convenience of a hotel buffet breakfast, which, if you're anything like me, resembles a lavish three-course meal.
Navigating Manchester can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, with activities scattered about or a considerable distance from certain accommodations. In this context, we'd like to highlight some of the most popular combinations of activities and recommend accommodations in close proximity. The last thing you'd want during a hen weekend is to waste time and money on taxis or minibuses. Keep in mind that it takes approximately 35 minutes to walk across Manchester city centre, covering a distance of 1.5 miles. To make the most of your time, try to group your activities into specific areas:
If your group enjoys brunch, one of our highly recommended venues is Impossible, situated at the Great Northern Square, just off Peter Street. Consider combining your visit with nearby venues that are practically within arm's reach, such as Lane7 (featuring Prosecco Pong, Bowling, and Shuffleboard), Alcotraz (an immersive prison-themed cocktail experience), Dirty Martini, Whistle Punks (axe throwing, best to be done before indulging in alcohol), and Revolucion De Cuba. If these activities pique your interest, we strongly recommend staying at one of the following accommodations, which are conveniently located a short distance away: Moxy Marriott, Yotel, Novotel, or Ibis Portland Street. By following these recommendations, you can spend more time enjoying the party and drinks, and less time walking around the city.
If you prefer to keep the Hen Party together, you'll likely find yourselves in Manchester's Northern Quarter, where most of the large apartments and townhouses are situated. In this area, you can take full advantage of the spacious accommodations and bring the party to you! Consider arranging activities like a mobile cocktail class, life drawing session, a stripper performance, or hiring butlers in the buff to add some excitement to your first night in Manchester.
From your base in this area, here's a list of popular venues within a convenient 5-minute walk:
