We headed to Alcotraz Cocktail Experience in Manchester and what we were faced with, we can honestly say we weren't expecting! We knew this would include cocktails and we knew we would be locked up, however we didn't fully appreciate the complete immersive, interactive element until we were thrown in. Upon Arrival you are met by the Prison warden who explains you've been caught and will be facing a cell for the night, handed your overalls and led away. A precursor to the evening is to bring along some loot in the form of alcohol and smuggle this in with you. Safe to say we managed this and hid it in our cells.

Hangover Weekends get banged up at Alcotraz! find out what happened here... One of the newest venues to open in Manchester, Liverpool and Brighton.
What we were expecting were the fantastic staff who never break character and lead a narrative throughout the event, with inmate roles, bent wardens and smuggling rings! This really holds your attention as you wait for your cocktails to be made and delivered throughout the session, made from your smuggled in loot. We were even given a secret mission to complete and had to call upon our GCSE drama lessons to complete this successfully.
If you were going to choose a standard cocktail making class but wanted something that little bit different then this is for you! it still includes plenty of delicious cocktails which is a must on a Hen Weekend but with the added storyline and all round experience. This is definitely something that you wont have done before when so many of the same activities are dragged out hen do after hen do. Overall this gets a huge thumbs up from the team at Hangover Weekends!
